If you have received equal status with the qualification of a state-certified nursery school teacher or a state-certified nurse, you can apply to us for state recognition.
Basic information
Please make an appointment with the training advisors in Department 31 of the Senator for Children and Education.
During the interview, the further procedure will be discussed and guidelines such as the B2 German certificate will be explained.

- Equal Opportunity Notice (issued by the Senator for Children and Education)
- B2 proof of German language skills

issued by the Senator for Education
- Original certificate of professional qualification
German translation if necessary
- Workbook if available
German translation if necessary
- Proof/certificate of the language level
Minimum requirement B2 according to the European reference framework
- Assessment and/or certificates of socio-pedagogical work in Germany
If a socio-educational activity has already been carried out in Germany, assessments are required.
