Procedure

If you would like to apply for a stock fishing license, you must first pass the fishing test.

If you have not yet done so, you can attend a course at the Landesfischereiverband Bremen. You can find the link to the Landesfichereiverband Bremen website under "Further information" - "Where can I find out more?".

Have you received proof that you have passed the fishing examination from the Landesfischereiverband Bremen?

Then you can have your fishing license issued at one of the BürgerServiceCenters.
- You must make an appointment for this.
Bring all the necessary documents with you to the appointment.
After the documents have been checked, you will be issued with a stock fishing license.

The examination to be taken for the stock fishing license is identical in content to the examination for obtaining a fishing license.
- With the examination certificate, you can apply for both the stock fishing license and the fishing license.
If you fish with a pole fishing rod, you must comply with the regulations of the Animal Protection Act, the Federal Nature Conservation Act, the Bremen Nature Conservation Act and the Bremen Fishing Act.
In the port area, the port authorities can restrict or prohibit the right to pole fishing and fishing in individual cases to ensure proper port operations.
The competent fishing authorities may restrict or prohibit the right to pole and line fishing in the port area if this is necessary to protect public health.
