Applying for a change in the shipping register

• You submit an informal, written application with the data that has changed.
• You sign the original application and submit it to the shipping register.
• You submit the necessary supporting documents.
• The registry court checks your application and the documents for completeness and accuracy.
• If the check is successful, the entry is made.
• You will be sent the ship's certificate for seagoing vessels or the ship's letter for inland waterway vessels.

Fees are charged for entry in the shipping register. The amount of the fees depends on the type of entry.
Changes to the ship's certificate or the ship's letter currently amount to EUR 25.00. Further information can be found in the Cost Ordinance under "Legal basis".

What deadlines must be paid attention to?

The application for registration of the change must be made immediately.

How long does it take to process

The processing time depends on the individual case.
