Applying for grade protection for students with disabilities
Procedure
- The application for grade protection must be submitted to the school management by the parent or legal guardian, or by the pupil themselves if they are of legal age.
- There are different procedures depending on the grade:
- Transition from the fourth to the fifth grade:
- The school management decides on the application for grade protection on the basis of a recommendation from the report conference at the end of the first semester of the fourth grade.
- In grades 5 to 9 of the Oberschule and Gymnasium, the report conference decides on the basis of subject-specific opinions.
- In the case of final examinations and examination-relevant achievements, the responsible school authority decides on the application for grade protection on the basis of a current statement from the school management and a statement from the Regional Counseling and Support Center or the Mobile Service.
- Transition from the fourth to the fifth grade:
A note about the grade protection granted is included in the report card or in the learning development report, which specifies the non-achievement, the achievement assessed according to deviating standards or the non-assessed subject-related achievement
