Barrier-free building and living kom.fort e.V.

The interest group for barrier-free building and living has grown. Not only senior citizens and disabled people want fewer hurdles, but also families with children or forward-looking building owners have recognised the possibilities.

Our home should be familiar and comfortable, at home we want to be able to act freely and safely. Especially for older or disabled people, self-determined living space is a question of life. Freedom of movement makes you happy and independent - and that's what you want to be just as much at seventy as at seventy. Accessibility is therefore the better living concept - for life.

The Senator for Social Affairs, Youth, Integration and Sport and the Senator for the Environment, Construction and Transportation support the non-profit association kom.fort e.V.

Kom.fort.e.V. is an advice centre that offers all citizens competent advice and information on the subject of housing adaptation and barrier-free planning, building and living in a barrier-free exhibition.

The work of kom.fort e.V. is characterized by numerous offers and services, such as support and advice in the planning and implementation of adaptation measures, both in a rented apartment and in one's own home, the discussion of current housing problems on site and the development of joint solutions, but also advice in all planning and construction-related questions as well as on costs and possibilities of financing and the procurement of competent partners from the fields of planning, construction and trade.
