Change of residence (sole, main or secondary residence)


Anyone moving within Bremen must re-register with the registration office within two weeks of moving in.

The re-registration must take place within two weeks after moving into the (new) apartment at one of the BürgerService facilities of the Bürgeramt. An adult family member can re-register the entire family. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient if you make an appointment with us in good time, even if it can only take place later.

What documents do I need?

  • Proof of identity

    e.g.: identity card or (child) passport

  • Form: Registration with a registration office

  • Form: Confirmation of accommodation provider
