Immigration of skilled workers under the accelerated procedure

The new Skilled Workers Immigration Act will come into force in Germany on 01.03.2020. According to this, companies can apply for the entry of skilled workers or trainees to be carried out in an accelerated procedure.

You can find the most important information here:

According to the new Skilled Immigration Act, companies can allow trained employees and trainees to enter Germany in a so-called accelerated procedure, see Section 81a of the Residence Act.

The prerequisite is that the employees have completed vocational training that is or can be recognized in Germany, see also: https://fachkraefteeinwanderungsgesetz.de/.

Companies based in Bremen can submit an application for entry of such a skilled worker or trainee to the Migration Office.
Persons who do not live in Germany and wish to come to Germany as employees, trainees and students must continue to contact the German embassy in their home country and apply for a visa there, see our service description: "Residence permit for employment".
