Information on all-day schools in the city of Bremen


Here you can find all information about the all-day schools in the city of Bremen.

All-day schools offer the prerequisites to sustainably meet the increasing demands for learning of students of different age groups, for increasing educational opportunities for all as well as the need to improve the compatibility of work and family. In the state of Bremen, a distinction is made between different organizational forms of all-day schools:

  • Bound all-day elementary school
    Bound all-day schools offer mandatory programs based on two models:
    • Model 1: Binding perception of the all-day offer on five days from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the option of being able to perceive care until 4:00 p.m..
    • Model 2: Mandatory full-day attendance on three days from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on two days until 2:00 p.m. with the option of care until 4:00 p.m.
      Additional paid early and late care from 07:00 to 08:00 and from 16:00 to 17:00
      Four teacher hours per week per class.
  • Open all-day elementary school
    Binding registration for one year for the time until 15:00 or until 16:00
    Four teacher hours per week per group of 20 pupils
  • Partial all-day secondary schools
    offer a program for grades 5 to 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. four days a week
    Two teacher hours per week per class
  • Full-day high schools
    offer a program for grades 5 through 10 four days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    Two teacher hours per class period
