Inspecting a nationwide spatial development plan

You have the right to inspect a nationwide spatial development plan.

In a state-wide spatial development plan, you will find general specifications for the organization of the space, i.e. the areas of a federal state. It is therefore the orientation framework for more precise planning for the use of individual regions and areas.
New or amended state-wide spatial development plans can be viewed online. If the responsible state authority does not make the desired state-wide spatial development plan available on the Internet, you have the right to view it at the state authority.
The state-wide spatial development plan generally consists of:

  • Indication of the legal basis on which the spatial development plan is based,
  • the definition of objectives and principles of spatial planning and
  • justification and explanations of the objectives and principles of spatial planning.
