Notify members in households with lead drinking water pipes of changes

If you have a drinking water supply system in your household and have received an extension to the deadline for replacing or decommissioning your lead drinking water pipes due to your own supply, you must report any changes in the members of your household to the public health department.

For example, if children move in with you or someone in your household becomes pregnant, you must report this. In general, any change must be reported, such as the number of household members.

Requirements

• You use lead drinking water pipes for your own supply.
• You have received an extension of the deadline for the replacement or decommissioning of lead drinking water pipes beyond 12.01.2026 from your public health department.
• There is a change in the members of your household who use the lead drinking water pipes. (for example, pregnancy, additional children, number of people, etc.)
