We promote outreach work for the elderly in the urban areas of Bremen-Mitte, Gröpelingen, Hemelingen, Marßel, Neustadt, Obervieland, Osterholz and in Vahr.       

     The aim of preventive home visits is to activate the participation of older people in social life. At the same time, they should be able to live in their own homes for as long as they wish. The isolation of elderly people is to be counteracted and self-help as well as mutual and neighborly help among each other is to be strengthened.        

      The home visits are carried out by voluntary visiting services. The full-time employees of the outreach work for the elderly make an initial contact visit and, if desired, organize a regular visiting or accompanying service. In addition, other support services and offers can be arranged.
