You can participate in ongoing spatial impact assessments.
Basic information
In a spatial impact assessment, the responsible regional planning authority examines whether major spatially significant projects appear to be feasible in a spatially and environmentally compatible manner at the desired location. The spatial impact assessment concludes with an expert, non-binding opinion.
Such spatially significant projects include, among others
- Wind farms
- Mining of mineral resources, such as
- coal or
- ores
- Road and rail construction
- Natural gas transmission lines
- High-voltage power lines
The state authority assesses the effects in the following areas in particular:
- Society
- Economy
- infrastructure
- environment
If a spatial planning authority assesses the spatial impact of a potential project, it makes this public.
As a citizen, company or representative of public interests, you can participate in an ongoing spatial impact assessment after the announcement by submitting a statement. You have at least one month to do so.
By participating, you can contribute to the assessment.
