Reduced local transport ticket / StadtTicket Bremen

Procedure

In the social centers, a VBN customer card is issued free of charge for adults after eligibility has been checked.

The validity of the customer card corresponds to the validity of the "Bremen Pass" or the duration of current benefit receipt. The customer card can then be used to purchase the discounted local transport ticket (StadtTicket) at all customer centers and all other VBN sales outlets.

For children and young people aged 6 - under 18, a special Youth StadtTicket is issued by BSAG on application. The applications are available at the social centers of the Office for Social Services and must be filled out, signed by the parent or guardian and accompanied by a passport photo. After verification and confirmation of eligibility, the applications are sent to BSAG. After the ticket has been issued, it will be sent by mail.

The application/renewal of the StadtTicket is also possible by authorized representatives. The authorized persons must present a corresponding power of attorney, their own identity card and the necessary proof of the entitlement of the person granting the power of attorney (Bremen passport, certificate of benefit receipt or benefit notice) and, in the case of an extension, also the customer card.

The power of attorney must include the following points:

  • Who is the grantor of power of attorney? - Name, address, date and place of birth.
  • Who is the authorized representative? - The authorized representative should also be named with name, address, date of birth and place of birth.
  • What is being authorized? - Name the specific task (application for or extension of StadtTicket). In addition, the power of attorney should be limited in time. Then it loses its effectiveness without having to be returned.
  • The signature: - The signatures of the authorizer and the authorized person must also be included.
