Restaurant permit (temporarily revoked)

For the temporary (time-limited) serving of alcoholic beverages, for example at an event (e.g. street festivals, markets, exhibitions, fairs) you need a temporary permit on revocation

Anyone operating a restaurant business that serves alcoholic beverages requires a permit.

It is possible to apply for a temporary permit in accordance with § 2 Para. 3 BremGastG for the holding of temporary, time-limited events.

Requirements

A temporary revocable permit to serve alcoholic beverages must be applied for from the Senator for Economic Affairs, Labor and Europe, Department 50 - Commercial Affairs.

According to § 2 para. 2 p. 1 BremGastG, the permit is to be refused if facts justify the assumption that the applicant does not possess the necessary reliability for the restaurant business.

What documents do I need?

  • Application for a temporary permit to operate a restaurant in Bremen in accordance with the Bremen Restaurant Act (BremGastG)
  • Personal document

    Identity card or other official identification document with photo.

    Residence permit if the applicant is not a national of an EU country.

  • Certificate of good conduct

    Certificate of good conduct in the document type OG (for submission to a public authority), (to be applied for at the local registration office responsible for your place of residence).

  • Event concept
  • Information from the central business register for submission to an authority

    To be applied for at the trade authority of the place of residence. Bremen citizens can apply for this via the trade registration office (link to the trade registration office). When applying, the Senator for Economics, Labor and Europe - Trade Affairs -, Katharinenklosterhof 3, 28195 Bremen must be specified as the recipient.

  • For deployed security personnel: Evidence of the successfully completed qualification examinations

    In the case of employed security personnel, proof of the successfully passed qualification examinations from an IHK, as well as the personal data (name, address, date of birth). If you work together with a security company, you must also provide this information.
