Submit a declaration of compliance in accordance with Section 92 (2) of the Building Energy Act for existing buildings

Online

• You can use the online service to submit the declaration in digital form. This eliminates the need to submit additional analog documents. Once you have successfully registered via a user account, you will be guided through the form step by step.
• At the beginning, you have the option of entering the name of the documents. It is recommended that you enter the street name and house number of the building.
• Have the required attachments to your declaration ready for upload. Each attachment must be created as an individual file and submitted in an archivable portable document format. The selected file names must contain information on the file content and the creation date in the format year, month, day (yyyymmdd) for each individual file, with the date prefixed to the file name.
• After submitting your declaration, you will receive a confirmation of receipt. Communication regarding your declaration with the authority should take place entirely via the online service. You have the option of sending and receiving messages in the online service.

In writing

• You can find the application form to fill in under "Forms" - "Declaration of compliance for the modification, extension or expansion of existing buildings".
• Complete the application.
• Appoint a person authorized under § 88 GEG to issue the declaration of compliance.
• Send the completed and signed declaration of compliance.
• Send the PDF by e-mail to the responsible office.

• Fully completed declaration of fulfillment (Section 92 (2) GEG)
  
  • if applicable, a copy of the calculations for the entire building prepared in accordance with § 50 of the Building Energy Act (§ 93 GEG)
  • if applicable, a copy of the calculations for the heated or cooled rooms to be added in order to comply with the requirements in accordance with Section 51 of the Building Energy Act and, in the cases of Section 51 (2) of the Building Energy Act, the calculation for summer heat insulation (Section 93 GEG) and
  • if applicable, a copy of the energy certificate (§ 80 GEG).

What deadlines must be paid attention to?

The declaration of fulfillment must be submitted 3 months after completion of the construction work on the building or the construction measures.

How long does it take to process

The declaration of fulfillment must only be submitted via the system. If necessary, a random check will be carried out.
