If you as the applicant are resident in Bremen or the transport begins in Bremen, the Office for Roads and Traffic is responsible for issuing the permit. You must have carried out the route check beforehand (route request). 

You can submit your application via the nationwide application procedure VEMAGS (Verfahrensmanagement für Großraum- und Schwertransporte). The use of this system is free of charge for you as applicant. All you have to do is register in VEMAGS. You will then receive your access data back by e-mail. A further advantage for you is that you can call up the status of the approval procedure at any time.

Technical requirements for classification as "large capacity and heavy transport 
  • longer than 16,50 meters
  • wider than 2.55 metres
  • higher than 4,00 meters
  • heavier than 41,8 tons
