Aircraft noise protection: reimbursement of expenses for structural noise protection measures
Procedure
The procedure is divided into the following steps:
- You submit an inquiry to the Senator for Science and Ports as to whether the property is located in the noise protection area, stating the property address.
- You receive a notice from the authority regarding the location of the property with respect to the noise protection area and its protection zones.
- You have an expert opinion prepared to determine the existing building sound insulation value. (The authority may not appoint an expert for the sake of objectivity).
- You apply to the Senator for Science and Ports for reimbursement of structural noise protection measures.
- You receive a preliminary decision from the authority on the measures that can be reimbursed and the maximum reimbursement amount.
- You have the noise abatement measures carried out on the basis of the preliminary decision issued.
- You submit the invoices to the Senator for Science and Ports.
- You receive a final decision.
- You receive reimbursement for the measures from Flughafen Bremen GmbH.
