Apply for funding for measures to recruit and secure qualified specialists in child daycare facilities

The grant is intended to cover the reasonable costs of carrying out the theoretical qualification measure as part of the lateral entry program. The grant includes

• the participation fee for the lessons,
• the examination fees
  
  • (including the fees for a make-up date and the fees for a possible repeat attempt per participant) and
• all teaching and learning materials.

Requirements

Funding can be provided for theoretical qualification measures that are suitable for the further qualification of persons with a previous domestic qualification as a group leader in a day care center in Bremen in terms of content and time structure. Classification is carried out by Department 31 of the senatorial authority. The "Key points agreement between the representatives of the daycare centers and the Senator for Children and Education on staff recruitment against the background of the shortage of skilled workers in institutional child daycare", as amended, serves as a guide.

Funding can be provided for such a theoretical qualification measure for persons

a) with a university or university of applied sciences degree in education as a major or minor subject - Diplom (university) - Magister (university) - Diplom (university of applied sciences) - Master's degrees - Bachelor's degrees - Teachers with a degree: 1st state examination, Bachelor's, Master's
The university or university of applied sciences degree must have been obtained at a university or technical college in Germany or, in the case of a degree obtained abroad, must have been recognized as equivalent in Germany.

b) with a related university or university of applied sciences degree or one of the following professional qualifications

• Occupational and occupational therapist
• Deacon or deaconess
• Occupational therapist
• Midwife or maternity nurse
• Pediatric nurse or pediatric nurse practitioner
• Art teacher
• Speech therapist
• Motopedagogue
• Music teacher
• Physiotherapist
• Sports teacher or sports therapist
• Theater educator

The university or technical college degree must have been obtained at a university or technical college in Germany or, in the case of a degree obtained abroad, must have been recognized as equivalent in Germany. The senatorial authority is responsible for classifying the professional proximity of this university or technical college degree.

c) with a qualification as

• state-recognized childcare worker or state-recognized childcare assistant
• socio-educational assistance
• social assistance,

provided that the person has previously proven themselves in 5 years of practical experience in a childcare facility and has regularly participated in professional training courses and has been assessed as having above-average qualifications.

Funds are made available for measures that fulfill the purpose of recruiting and securing qualified specialists in the daycare facilities in the municipality of Bremen. The services funded must comply with the objectives of Sections 22, 22a and 72 of Book Eight of the German Social Code (SGB VIII) and Sections 10 and 10a of the Bremen Day Care Facilities and Child Day Care Act (BremKTG).
In order to be eligible for funding, the educational institution selected to carry out the theoretical qualification measure must meet the requirements as a recognized institution of further education in accordance with § 4 of the Continuing Education Act (WBG).
The training provider must ensure that the theoretical qualification measure is carried out within the municipality of Bremen.
Measures are eligible if their overall financing is secured during the funding period. Measures with a total volume of less than EUR 500 will not be funded (de minimis limit).
