Asylum procedure, refusal and obligation to leave the country

Procedure

If the BAMF has rejected your application for asylum with final and binding effect and you have not yet left Germany, you will receive a letter from the Migration Office in which you will again be given a deadline for departure. You will also receive the contact details of an advice centre which can support you in your departure (see under "i Where can I find out more?").

If you do not then leave Germany yourself, the Migration Office must enforce your obligation to leave by deporting you.

You will not be notified of the date of this. You will then be deported from Germany, accompanied by the police.
