Authentication of identity documents
The certification confirms that the content of the copy is identical to the original document. However, the certification does not certify the authenticity or validity of the original.
This service is provided exclusively under municipal jurisdiction. Your request can therefore only be processed if you have your main residence in Bremen.
We also carry out certifications - initially limited until 11.04.2023 - without an appointment in the Pop-Up BSC in the auction hall of the Lost and Found Office. You will find the Pop-Up BSC in the Stresemannstraße Public Authorities Center. Access is exclusively via the Steubenstraße parking lot. Since no appointments are made for the Pop-Up BSC, we ask for your understanding for possible waiting times even outside the building. Please note that you can only pay at the Pop-Up BSC by EC card, cash payment is not possible.

Notarization of these documents is for a specific purpose. In case of doubt, it will be checked whether a certification may be made according to the relevant regulations.
