Business Central Register Information


Procedure

The request for information from the central business register must be submitted to the Senator for Economics, Ports and Transformation - Trade Registration Office, as the local competent authority. The request for information from the commercial register must be submitted to the Senator for Economic Affairs, Ports and Transformation - Trade Registration Office, as the locally competent authority in the context of a personal visit.

If the applicant is a natural person, the application can only be made in person.

If the applicant is a legal entity, the application may only be submitted by the legal representative of the entity by presenting the current excerpt from the commercial register!

Alternatively, a written application with an official or publicly certified signature of the applicant is permitted.

For this purpose, an official or notarized signature certificate of the individual or the legal representation of the legal entity will be deposited with us in the original.

Written applications must be submitted by the person whose signature we have.

It is not possible for authorized signatories to apply for information from the commercial central register for legal entities.

If an extract from the Central Commercial Register (GZR extract) is required for your own purposes, the Federal Office of Justice in Bonn will send the GZR extract directly. If the GZR extract is required for an authority in Germany, the address of the authority and, if applicable, of the responsible clerks must be provided. The Federal Office of Justice in Bonn will then send the extract directly to the authority.
