Disposal of biowaste

Procedure

The order of an organic waste bin can be placed by telephone or in writing by the owners.

More information

It's biowaste:

Kitchen garbage:

  • Bread and cake leftovers, egg shells, filter bags, fish, meat and solid food leftovers, coffee grounds, fruit and vegetable leftovers, tea bags

Plant waste:

  • Flowers, balcony plants, contents of flower pots, shrubbery and grass cuttings in small quantities

This is not biowaste:

  • Ashes, vegetable nets and plastic bags (also biodegradable), cheese rinds, animal litter, vacuum cleaner bags, street sweepings, sausage skins, diapers, cigarette butts - all this belongs in the residual waste bin

Tip:

Drain moist organic waste well and wrap it in newspaper. This helps against freezing in winter and unpleasant odours in summer.
