Dispose of bulky waste

You have furnishings (furniture, etc.) that do not fit into the residual waste garbage can or the Bremen garbage bag because of their size? Then you can order a bulky waste collection or deliver the bulky waste to a recycling station.

Basisinformationen

The Bremer Stadtreinigung (DBS) offers all private households the opportunity to have bulky waste collected free of charge once a calendar year. This service is included in the waste fee. Further collections are possible for a fee of 71.00 euros per collection.

Each household must place a separate order. If you want to use the collection service together with your neighbor, each party must place a separate order.

We will collect your bulky waste:

The collection will take place no later than four weeks after receipt of the order. You will be notified of the collection date by mail prior to the collection.
Please note when placing your order:

  • Only a maximum of 5 m³ of bulky waste may be provided per collection, and the items may not be longer than 2 meters.

Self-delivery:

You can also deliver the bulky waste yourself to our recycling stations Blockland (in larger quantities), Burglesum, Blumenthal, Borgfeld, Hastedt (formerly Hulsberg), Hohentor, Kirchhuchting (each up to 2 m³). Only residents of Bremen are allowed to make deliveries.

Verfahren

A bulky waste collection can be ordered online or by telephone at: https://www.die-bremer-stadtreinigung.de/sperrmuell-bestellen of 0421 361-3611.

After receiving his order, the customer will receive an order confirmation with the collection date and important instructions on the procedure by mail.

The bulky waste must be made available in good time. On the day before from 18:00 and on the day of collection at the latest by 06:00.

The maximum provision quantity per order is 5 cubic meters and the items should not exceed a length of 2 meters.

Furniture and furnishings:

  • Sofa, couch, bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, table, mattress, slatted frame, armchair, chair, stool, shelf, suitcase (empty), carpet (rolled up or bundled).

Large electrical appliances

Metal items:

  • Bed frame, spring frame, bicycles, strollers, scooters, lawn mowers, clothes racks

Large plastic items:

  • Laundry basket, tub, garden furniture, rain barrel, bobby car, rain barrel, sandbox shell, plastic sleds

This is not bulky waste:

Residual waste and plastic parts:

  • Items that fit in the Bremen trash bag by size.

Construction waste:

  • Windows, doors, laminate and sanitary ware, pipes, baseboards and ceiling moldings

Recyclables:

  • Paper and cardboard, yard waste, textiles, glass and sales packaging

Pollutants:

  • Pollutants and waste containing asbestos

Car parts:

  • Car wreckage and car parts, motorcycles as well as tires.

Tip:

Welche Fristen sind zu beachten?

The collection takes place at the latest 4 weeks after receipt of the application by the waste disposal company.

Welche Gebühren/Kosten fallen an?

One collection per calendar year is already included in the waste fee. From the second bulky waste collection per calendar year, fees of 71,- Euro per collection will be charged. The basis for the calculation of a chargeable collection is the date of the order. Self-delivery for private households is free of charge.
