Procedure

  • Applications must be made in writing or by telephone by the property owner, and tenants should contact their landlord.
  • For private households, the size of the residual waste bin depends on the number of persons in the household.
  • For commercial enterprises and associations, the size is to be determined individually depending on the industry and number of employees. This is done by the commercial customer service of Die Bremer Stadtreinigung.

Residual waste:

  • Wallpaper, pet litter, small pieces of wood, light bulbs, household items, household dishes, sanding and sawing dust, soiled paper and cardboard, soiled plastic film, buckets, emulsion paints, medications, diapers, vacuum cleaner bags, ashes, file folders, audio and videocassettes.

This is not residual waste:

  • Pollutants, electrical appliances, recyclables

Tip:

If the residual waste garbage can is exceptionally too full, you can also dispose of residual waste with the Bremen garbage bag. It can be purchased at the following recycling stations and in many retail stores at a price of 7.50 euros:

  • Blockland
  • Blumenthal
  • Burglesum
  • Hohentor
  • Hastedt
  • Kirchhuchtingen
  • Oberneuland

Residual waste can also be delivered in bulk to these recycling stations. Depending on the quantity delivered, different fees apply, 10.00 euros per 120 liter volume or part thereof.
