Procedure

The application for benefits of citizen's income according to the Social Code II. book at the Jobcenter Bremen as well as for social assistance and basic security in case of reduced earning capacity according to the Social Code XII. Book II and benefits under the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act at the Social Services Office also includes benefits for education and participation for children, adolescents and young adults. Adolescents and young adults aged 16 and over must provide proof of school attendance for this purpose.

Families who receive housing allowance or child supplement must submit appropriate proof to the Social Services Office in order to claim this benefit.

In order to claim the benefits for education and participation, the entitled person will be issued a "Bremen-Pass". As a rule, the Bremen Pass is handed over directly in person when the application is made. If a written application is made by mail, the Bremen Pass is sent.

With this, the benefits are generally approved.

Attention: The validity of the Bremen Pass is limited in time. After the eligibility period has expired, a new application for these benefits must be submitted.
