Procedure
The application to the Bremen Jobcenter for citizen's allowance benefits in accordance with Book II of the German Social Code and for social assistance and basic income support in the event of reduced earning capacity in accordance with Book XII of the German Social Code and for benefits in accordance with the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act. Book and benefits under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act at the Office for Social Services also includes benefits for education and participation for children, adolescents and young adults. Adolescents and young adults aged 16 and over must provide proof of school attendance.
Families who receive housing benefit or the child supplement must submit the relevant evidence to the Social Services Office in order to claim this benefit.
In order to claim the benefits for education and participation, the entitled person is issued with a "Bremen Pass". As a rule, the Bremen-Pass is issued directly in person when the application is made. If a written application is made by post, the Bremen Pass will be sent.
The benefits are then generally approved.
