Procedure
After receiving a fine notice, you have the option of paying the fine within four weeks or lodging an objection within two weeks. The date of receipt by the fines office is decisive.
Please note that an objection by e-mail does not constitute an effective objection.
If you lodge an objection to a fine notice, the fines office will first check whether the case can be dropped.
If the case cannot be dropped, the local court will decide. Court costs may also be incurred here.
If your fine notice results in a driving ban, please note that the fines office in Bremen is only responsible for driving bans imposed by Bremen. If it is a driving ban imposed by another authority, we are unfortunately unable to accept your driving license.
