Career Guidance for Girls and Young Women
The younger generation of women in Germany has received a particularly good education. Nevertheless, when choosing an apprenticeship or degree program, girls still disproportionately often opt for “typically female” career fields or academic disciplines. As a result, they do not fully exploit their career opportunities; at the same time, companies—particularly in technical and technology-related fields—are increasingly facing a shortage of qualified young talent.

Girls’ Day in the State of Bremen
On Girls’ Day—a day dedicated to girls’ future careers—female students gain insight into career fields that girls rarely consider during the career exploration process.

Requirements

Female students in grades 5–12 are eligible to participate in Girls’ Day.
