More information
Transport packaging and containers must be taken back by the deliverers. The waste, recyclable materials and hazardous substances become the property of Die Bremer Stadtreinigung when they are placed in the collection bins/containers or handed over to the operating personnel. This also applies if they have already been unloaded or secured.
The deliverers are obliged to provide information about the origin of the waste and/or recyclables they deliver. The station's operating personnel are authorized to inspect all waste delivered and to reject waste, recyclables and hazardous substances, even if they have already been unloaded.
Batteries can also be handed in free of charge at all stores that sell batteries.
Engine and transmission oils are not accepted at the hazardous waste collection point. Stores that sell engine and gearbox oils are legally obliged to take back used oil (including empty containers). Keep the receipts for this, as the disposal costs are already included in the purchase price.
Car batteries, also known as starter batteries, are only taken back by specialist dealers via a deposit system.
Not all paints, varnishes, glues and adhesives belong in the hazardous waste collection. These substances are not included:
- Emulsion paints (binder, latex, wall paints), tinting paints, school paints, hair dyes
- Empty paint buckets, paint and spray cans
- Emptied containers
- Washing-up liquid and detergent residues,
- scouring powder, hair, carpet and car shampoos
- as well as make-up, skin creams and other cosmetics
- Emptied plastic bottles,
- tubes, aerosol cans
- And other plastic and metal containers
- Wallpaper paste Emptied glue tubes, bottles and cans
Emptied sales packaging is disposed of in the yellow bag/yellow garbage can.
