Basic information
All-day schools offer the prerequisites for sustainably meeting the increasing demands on the learning of pupils of different age groups, on increasing educational opportunities for all and on the need to improve the compatibility of work and family life. In the state of Bremen, a distinction is made between different organizational forms of all-day schools:
- Compulsory all-day elementary school
Compulsory all-day schools offer compulsory courses based on two models:
- Model 1: Compulsory use of the all-day offer on five days from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the option of being able to take advantage of childcare until 4 p.m.
- Model 2: Compulsory use of the all-day offer on three days from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on two days until 2 p.m. with the option of childcare until 4 p.m.
Additional fee-based early and late supervision from 07:00 to 08:00 and from 16:00 to 17:00
Four teacher hours per week per class group
- Open all-day elementary school
Binding registration for one year for the time until 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.
Four teacher hours per week per group of 20 pupils - Partial all-day secondary schools
offer a program for years 5 to 7 from 08:00 to 15:00 on four days a week
Two teacher hours per week per class group - Compulsory all-day secondary schools
offer a program for years 5 to 10 four days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
