Notify the Chamber of Skilled Crafts of the closure of an establishment

If you, as a member company of a Chamber of Skilled Crafts, close an establishment, you must notify the Chamber of Skilled Crafts.

The Chamber of Skilled Crafts maintains two registers, the Handwerksrolle (Register of Crafts) and the Verzeichnis über die Inhaber einer Betriebs einer zulassungsfreien Handwerks oder eines handwerksähnlichen Gewerbes (Register of Owners of a Business of an Admission-Free Craft or Craft-Similar Trade), in which all craft businesses and businesses of craft-similar trade with their business premises in the chamber district are recorded. If an establishment located in the chamber district is closed, this must be notified to the chamber of crafts.        

     Please note the following:        

     If you do not want to close the business premises but move them to a location that is within the area of responsibility of another Chamber of Skilled Crafts, you must delete the business premises from the previously responsible Chamber of Skilled Crafts and register them with the Chamber of Skilled Crafts that is now responsible.
