Procedure
An application for registration must be submitted to the registration authority. The application can also be submitted by a representative (e.g. car dealer) with a written power of attorney.
To avoid longer waiting times, appointments can be made:
-> for Bremen-Mitte: by telephone at (0421) 361-88671
-> for Bremen-Nord: by telephone at (0421) 361-88644.
Customers without an appointment are served in parallel, with priority given to appointment customers. Commercial registration requests will continue to be accepted without an appointment.
Reserving a personalized license plate:
If you would like to have a preferred license plate, you must do so by using the "Reserve a preferred license plate for Bremen" link. You can find the link under "Further information" - Online service" - "Reserve a personalized license plate for Bremen". This is the only way to generate the required PIN.
