You have several options for reporting illegal waste dumping: 

Online services 


  • The online form from Die Bremer Stadtreinigung via the website or app guides you step by step through the application process.
  • You can submit the required documents digitally.

By telephone 


  • Report illegal waste dumping by telephone to the customer service of Die Bremer Stadtreinigung.

In writing 


  • Send an informal report electronically by e-mail.

As the owner of the property, you must generally also take care of the removal of waste that has been deposited on your property against your will. 

If you report illegal waste, you remain anonymous. Only if you wish to appear as a witness for a report will your data be passed on in the course of a witness statement. This requires your consent. You will then be contacted by the responsible department.   

The public order service investigates illegal waste disposal and provides information about proper waste disposal.  Violations such as carelessly discarded chewing gum, pizza boxes or bulky waste, for example furniture, fridges, televisions and so on, are consistently punished by the public order service. The public order service works closely with Die Bremer Stadtreinigung. 

The employees of the public order service give instructions, issue warnings free of charge or for a fee, report administrative offenses and take measures for general hazard prevention. 

The public order service can levy a warning fine in cash directly on site or report an offense. In this case, you will receive a letter from the fines office.  

In order to reduce charges and prevent illegal waste dumping, problem areas are systematically checked for waste receptacles. According to the connection obligation, inhabited or commercially used properties must be connected to the public waste disposal system.
