Show removal of a plant without a permit


If you intend to remove a facility that requires a building permit or is exempt from a building permit, you must notify the lower building supervisory authority of the removal at least one month in advance.

You must notify the lower building supervisory authority at least one month in advance of the removal of installations that require a building permit or are exempt from building permits. If the lower building supervisory authority does not take any building supervisory measures, you can start the removal work without further approval after the expiry of the one-month period.

If the facility to be removed is attached to facilities requiring building permits or facilities exempt from building permits, the stability of these facilities must be assessed by a qualified structural engineer and proven to the required extent. The removal work must be supervised by the qualified structural engineer as far as necessary.

The obligation to notify shall not apply to

a) Installations not subject to procedures pursuant to § 61 (1) of the Bremen State Building Code,

b) free-standing buildings of building classes 1 and 3,

c) other installations that are not buildings, with a height of up to 10 m.

These may be removed without a notice of removal.

For the removal of the following structures you need a building permit according to § 64 of the Bremen Building Code:

a) protected cultural monuments that are entered in the list of monuments or buildings that are located in their vicinity,

b) in the case of a partial removal of a building project which is to be classified as a change to a building structure, or

c) if the lower building supervisory authority requires a building permit procedure after reviewing the removal notification.
