How long does the processing take?
Due to the large number of declarations sent out, it is not possible to make a reliable statement on the expected processing time.
-
What happens if the unit value has changed?
If, after reviewing your declaration, the result is a higher or even lower assessed value than previously determined, you will receive a notice of the value update.
-
Does my property tax payable also change if the assessed value changes?
Yes. The notice of assessed value is the basis for the property tax assessment notice. This in turn is the basis for the property tax to be determined.
-
On which reference date is the unit value recalculated?
To the reference date on which the declaration of unit value was requested.
-
When will my property tax payable change?
Property tax is recalculated from the year at the beginning of which (01.01. of the year) the assessed value is redetermined. This may result in retroactive back payments (in the event of an increase in the assessed value) or refunds (in the event of a decrease in the assessed value).
-
Will I receive a notice even if there is no change in the assessed value?
Yes. If there is no change in the previously determined unit value, you will receive a "no value update" notice.
