Training at a technical college is an advanced training course that prepares you to take on tasks at middle management level in companies. Completion of a technical college course entitles you to study at a university.
The following qualifications can be obtained at a Fachschule:
- State-certified educator at a vocational school for social pedagogy
- State-certified business economist, specializing in personal services at a technical college for personal services
- State-certified curative education nurse at a vocational school for curative education care
- State-certified technician at a technical college for technology
The training usually takes place full-time. Some technical colleges also offer part-time training.
The training period is two years in full-time form and lasts correspondingly longer in part-time form.

Requirements
The prerequisite for attending a technical college is a completed vocational training and the intermediate school leaving certificate.
