Sale of motor vehicles - notice of sale

The seller is obliged to immediately notify - in writing or in person - the registration authority that last issued a registration number to the vehicle of the sale of the vehicle.

Requirements

The notification to the registration authority must include:

• Name and address of the buyer
• Acknowledgement of receipt by the purchaser of the vehicle documents:
  - registration certificate part I (formerly: vehicle registration certificate)
  - registration certificate part II (formerly: vehicle registration certificate)
  - registration license plates
